THE STORY…
My coaching career began in 2016 whilst racing for Suzuki UK, but my passion for motocross started much earlier in life…
I grew up in Leicestershire and the majority of my family either had bikes or were in to them, so at the age of 3 I started riding a Yamaha pw50. As soon as I was old enough to race at 6 I started with the CJMX club. At age 9 I raced national level and then by age 17 I began my professional career in both British and European Championships.
My Career Highlights Include…
x8 CJMX Club Championships
x2 BSMA British National Championships
x2 Super-National Wins
ACU Maxxis British MXY2 Race Wins
Bridgestone British Masters Pro Round Wins
MX Nationals Pro MX2 Round Wins
ACU Maxxis British MX2 Podiums
EMX European 250 Podiums
ACU British 2 stroke Champion
Racing Teams…
Ive been lucky enough to ride for some great teams over the years. Revo Kawasaki, Hitachi KTM UK Satelite, Verde Sports KTM & Heads and Threads Suzuki UK to name a few. My best results came from a private KTM team called M-Smith. In 2017 we entered a round of the EMX250 Championship in France where I narrowly missed the podium due to a riding error and DNF in the second Moto. In 2018 we achieved a second overall at Matterly Basin EMX250 round, which was a big result for our little team! We were racing factory equipment and names such as Jett Lawrence, Tom Vialle & Roan Van De Moosdijk as well as many more.
What I Do In My Spare Time…
Alongside my racing and Motocross coaching I find myself out riding MTB with friends. Recently dipping my toes in to Downhill Racing and placing 2nd in my first race in the Expert class. I enjoy gym training and going out for some decent grub too! A recent bungy jump in New Zealand sparked the importance of trying new things and ticking off places to visit and travel!
